McQuaig is evolving away from a platform that served largely as a delivery mechanism for sending assessments and generating reports to a platform that delivers direct value. Our goal is to continue to deliver meaningful and actionable content to you, and you can expect that more an more of that will happen within the app! We hope you've already experienced features that deliver value within the application such as Benchmarks and Workflows. You can expect to see even more of that in the future.
We're working on a number of new features that we're really excited about - and we think you will be too! To deliver many of those features, we need to restructure how we capture and store some data. In the next month, we will introduce the concept of "People" into the McQuaig ecosystem.
Why are we doing this?
Simply put, this change will allow you to interact with your McQuaig data in a more meaningful, efficient and intuitive way by allowing you to view all records associated with an individual over time. For example, when viewing a person, you will have access to see their Word Survey and MAT results, as well as any 360 Leadership Reviews that the person has participated in or Job Surveys they have completed. While we only recommend reassessing in very specific circumstances, you will have access to view all Word Surveys or MATs completed by a Person. You will also be able to see all other records that the Person is associated with - perhaps their results were used in a Benchmark or they were included in a Hiring Workflow.
This change will become even more important when we launch McQuaig Teams in Q3. Assessments, after all, are not part of our teams, PEOPLE are!
How will assessment data be stored?
Up until now, your McQuaig database has consisted of a series of disconnected assessment records. This structure allowed you to send assessments, view results, and search your assessment list based on a variety of criteria. With the introduction of People, you will access your assessment data by viewing a Person rather than a disconnected assessment. Each Person will have one or more assessments that are associated with them.
What does this mean for you?
In order to evolve away from assessment records and towards records of People, email addresses will be used as the unique identifier of a Person. That means that each record associated with a single email address will become a record that is now associated with that Person. It is useful to note that while an email address was not previously required for Quick Enter or Transcribe, email addresses will be required for all assessment records moving forward.
Do you need to do anything to prepare for his change?
Probably not, but there are some instances where you may need to take action. If you currently leverage McQuaig to send assessments to candidates via email in the pre hire process, then you likely do not need to take any actions. We know that our clients send and use assessments in different ways and for different purposes. Click here to find out if you'll need to take any actions in preparation for this change.
The McQuaig team is really excited for this change and for the future features the change will allow us to deliver. We're confident that you will be equally excited once the transition has occurred. This change is coming soon, and we'll let you know when we have a precise release date scheduled. Until then, if you're concerned about how this will impact your data and you would like to talk to us, please reach out to your Customer Success rep at any time!
