This article covers how to edit your own user credentials as well as how to edit or archive another user. Editing another user includes making changes to their level of access and permission type.
Edit your username:
Note: All McQuaig usernames are email addresses. If you forgot your username, please contact us to confirm the email address used.
- Click the Account icon
- Click Profile
- Click the Edit pencil icon
- Edit the email address
- Click the Save icon
Edit a user:
- Click the Settings icon
- Click into the user details (if it is a group user, you will have to click into the appropriate group first)
- Click the Edit pencil icon and update the following fields:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Time zone
- Language
- Click the Save icon
Note: To change the level of access of another user, you will need the Full permission type within the same group or at the top level.
Change a user’s Top-Level Access:
- Click the Settings icon
- Click into the user details (if it is a group user, you will have to click into the appropriate group first)
- Click the Edit pencil icon
- Select the permission type in the field titled "Top Level Access"
- Click the save icon
Change a user’s Group Access:
- Click the Settings icon
- Click into one of the groups the user has access to
- Click into the user details
- In the Group Access box, you can:
- Add the user to a group:
- Select a Group and the Permission for that group from the dropdown lists
- Click Submit
- Remove the user from a group
- Click the subtraction icon beside the appropriate group
- Click OK
- Change the permission type on a group
- Click the pencil icon beside the permission type (Full, View, Sender)
- Select the appropriate permission type
- Click the checkmark to save
- Add the user to a group:
Archive a user:
- Click the Settings icon
- Click into the user details
- Click Archive User
Note: Users are not deleted but archived in the platform. This will remove them from your user list.
