Anonymizing Assessment Data in McQuaig
McQuaig knows how important protecting personal data is. Anonymization allows you to remove all personally identifiable information from an individual’s record while allowing McQuaig to retain anonymized assessment data for research and validation purposes.
This approach aligns with global data privacy standards, including GDPR and other applicable regional privacy regulations, and is considered functionally equivalent to deletion from a privacy perspective.
What happens when you anonymize a person?
When a person is anonymized:
- All personally identifiable information (e.g. name, email) is permanently removed
- The individual can no longer be identified or linked to their assessment results
- Assessment results are no longer accessible within the platform
- Anonymized data (such as assessment scores and completion date) is retained for research and validation purposes
Important: This action is irreversible.
Key considerations
- Anonymization applies to the person, not individual assessment records
- All assessments associated with that person will be anonymized
- If the individual is an administrator or part of a TeamSync team, they must be removed from those roles prior to anonymization
How to anonymize a person
- On the left-hand navigation bar, go to Manage > People
- Find the person or people you want to anonymize
- Click the checkbox next to the names you want to anonymize
- You have the option to select up to 100 people at a time by using the page filter at the bottom of your page
- Select Anonymize at the top of the page
Tip: To anonymize multiple individuals, use the filter options (e.g. Created On / Created To) to select a group by date range.
