If you currently leverage McQuaig to send assessments to candidates via email in the pre hire process, then you likely do not need to take any actions. We know that our clients send and use assessments in different ways and for different purposes. If any of the below scenarios apply to you, you may need to take the recommended action or contact your Customer Success Rep to guide you to a solution:
Scenario: You leverage paper versions of the assessment and Transcribe results.
Recommended Acton: Moving forward, the email field will be required when you Transcribe results. Historical records without an email address will be assigned a "fake" email address in the format of firstname.lastname@noemail.com. There will be an in-app flag that these People are not associated with a valid email address.
Scenario: You leverage Quick Enter
Recommended Acton: Moving forward, the email field will be required when you Quick Enter results. Historical records without an email address will be assigned a "fake" email address in the format of firstname.lastname@noemail.com. There will be an in-app flag that these People are not associated with a valid email address. You can update your flagged records, but it will not be mandatory for you to update them. You will be required to include an email address for all future Quick Enter actions you take.
Scenario: You send assessments to your own email address so that you can include the invitation links in a customized email that comes directly from you.
Recommended Action: We will be introducing a feature on send pages to either "send invitation" or "copy link". So, for all assessments you set up, you will use the participant's email address, and copy the assessment link into your email instead of clicking send. All your historical records will be impacted. In any historical instances where an email address is associated with different names, the email address will be modified, and multiple "People" will be created. This will be in the format of emailaddress@domain.com, emailaddress+1@domain.com, emailaddress@domain+2.com. These records will be flagged and if these historical records are not relevant to you, there is no need to update anything. If any of the records are relevant, you can update the email address and name.
