Hiring managers are typically very busy and do not have the time to read through multiple pages of information, therefore, most prefer to receive only the most pertinent information at the time. In addition, if they are the ones conducting the interviews, it is helpful to provide them with the behaviour-based interview questions.
In the hiring phase, the most pertinent information is the Assessment of Job Fit section of the Word Survey Report or the Job Fit Interview Guide. These options include similar content but in different formats. They both include the comparison of the candidate to the benchmark as well as provide interview questions to probe deeper into strengths and gaps. However, the Job Fit Interview Guide includes additional features such as an interview checklist, rating scales and notes sections that are helpful for hiring managers.
Other sections of the Word Survey Report that may be relevant for hiring managers:
- Interpretation Report – Includes the potential assets and developmental considerations of the candidate.
- Leadership Profile – Includes how the candidate will perform with respect to motivating and team building, decision making and problem solving, and leading change. This section also includes developmental considerations associated with the candidate’s leadership style.
- This section is relevant if you are considering the candidate for a leadership position.
- Selling Style – Includes how the respondent will perform with respect to prospecting, presentation, and closing within the sales process.
- This section is relevant if you are considering the candidate for a sales position.
- Interview Questions – Includes behaviour-based interview questions surrounding the candidate’s profile, other important characteristics, as well as questions surrounding situational adjustments or transition profiles if applicable.
Alternatively, for a high-level overview of the Word Survey Report, you can provide hiring managers with the Executive Summary Report.
