To compare a candidate to a job profile, you can generate the Assessment of Job Fit section of the Word Survey Report or the Job Fit Interview Guide.
Both reports will state whether overall the candidate came out as a Strong Match, Potential Match, or Does Not Match to the job profile. In addition, the report will state the level of fit for each trait scale individually. However, the Job Fit Interview Guide includes additional features such as an interview checklist, rating scales and notes sections.
The Strengths Analysis within both reports will provide behaviour-based interview questions to probe further to confirm whether the candidate has the desired traits. It will also provide examples of behaviours to listen for in their responses to help you confirm the strength.
The Gap Analysis within both reports will provide behaviour-based interview questions to probe further to either confirm that the gap will be detrimental to the candidate’s success in the role or uncover that the candidate has developed strategies to overcome the gap. It will also provide examples of behavior to listen for in their responses to help you decide which case is accurate.
If the situational graph looks similar to the job profile and is different from the real graph, it is an indication that the adjustments that they are currently making may continue to occur in the role that you are looking to fill. It is recommended to probe further to confirm if that is accurate. If they will continue to occur, it is recommended to consider how that will affect the candidate’s performance. See What does the situational graph mean in the reports?
