This article provides a brief explanation of the assessments that McQuaig offers.
The Job Survey: Used to define the ideal personality profile for a job. It is sent to stakeholders involved in the hiring process. The Job Survey takes on average 10-15 minutes to complete.
- Note: If a Job Survey is sent to a candidate, it cannot be used instead of a Word Survey or converted into a Word Survey as the context of the surveys is different.
The Word Survey: Used to uncover the personality profile of an individual. It measures core personality traits and how a person is behaving in their current role. It is sent to candidates or employees. The Word Survey on average takes 15-20 minutes to complete.

The Mental Agility Test: The Mental Agility Test measures an individual's speed of thought, general mental agility and several key components of "intelligence" against job requirements. Mental agility indicates the ability of an individual to think, learn and quickly absorb new information, systems and processes. It assesses vocabulary, verbal reasoning skills and the ability to perform simple mathematical functions. It is typically sent to a candidate, but can be sent to employees if developing organizational standards. The Mental Agility Test is a 15 minute, timed assessment.
Self-Development Survey: This assessment is the same format as the Word Survey, however, the associated report is written to employees to assist them in creating comprehensive development plans, rather than used for hiring or managing employees.
The 360 Leadership Review: This assessment is used as an awareness and development tool for leaders. It asks peers, managers and direct reports to provide feedback to a leader on the Great 8 leadership competencies. The 360 Leadership Review interacts with the Word Survey, so you should make sure the main participant has completed the Word Survey before you generate the 360 Leadership Review report.
