The Self-Development Report is designed to be provided to employees to assist them in the creation of personal development plans. It is written directly to them, to explain the strengths and developmental areas associated with their personality.
The Self-Development Report will explain the 4 trait scales that McQuaig measures personality on and display where the employee falls on each of them. It will then outline the strengths and developmental areas associated with each trait scale as well as provide action items to a) leverage their strengths and b) manage their developmental areas more effectively.
The next sections of the report will provide a checklist of all action items previously described, an example of how to turn the suggested action items into well-defined goals, as well as a goal setting worksheet to do so. The checklist, example, and worksheet will first appear for the strengths and then repeat for the developmental areas.
Employees are encouraged to select 2-3 action items at a time to focus on, and gather input from their manager or coach in this process.
